The new Montero AX promises total versatility. Groomed pistes? Fresh powder? Heavy spring slush? Everything is no problem for this playful do-it-all. Wave-shaped slits in the Titanal plus a rocker at the tip and tail make this ski easy handling and nimble, ideal for short to mid-radius turns. With its waist of 80 mm, it also gets stability and performs perfectly in all conditions.

• TECHNOLOGY:

  • ROCKER: The longer curvature of the shovel, called rocker technology, is specially adapted for each ski model.
  • LIGHT CORE & SUPER LIGHT CORE: Special wood types such as paulownia wood are used for all-mountain, freeride, and touring models.
  • FULL EDGE CONTACT: The ski is wider at the tip (and for GS also at the tail.
  • SOLID METAL EDGE LIGHT: The same edge thickness as the SME. The edge is not as thickly built into the ski and is pressed differently.
  • ADAPTIVE CONTACT LENGTH: When you combine the FEC and "Tip and Tail" Rocker technology, you get ACL.
  • TAIL ROCKER: A longer rocker at the tail with a flatter radius.
  • FLEX TORSION CONTROL: Special cut-outs both crosswise and lengthwise ensure the ski front and back is softer when it comes to flex and torsion. In this way the ski can on the one hand flex more easily which makes steering into turns easier. On the other hand one can always maintain control of the ski in transitions since the ski's torsion remains adaptable.
