Smith Vantage Helmets
Take to the slopes fearlessly while wearing the unbeatable, comfortable protection of a Smith Vantage Helmet. The Hybrid SL construction of the Vantage combines heavy duty bombshell material made with injection molded ABS in the front with a lightweight in-mold shell in the back giving you a helmet that can take a beating without weighing you down. Aerocore construction featuring Koroyd columns absorbs impacts evenly and allows for more ventilation without compromising the integrity. The Smith Vantage helmet has 21 vents that can be opened or closed with the Dual Regulator system. Keep the vents open on warm, sunny days to let off some steam and enjoy the breeze or close them all the way on cold or stormy days to trap as much heat in as possible.
Smith Vantage with MIPS Technology
New to the Smith Vantage line of helmets is MIPS technology. Smith helmets are designed to absorb direct impacts, but not all falls result in direct hits. MIPS technology, which is short for multi-directional impact protection system, significantly reduces the negative strain to the brain in a situation when your impact is at an angle. Not all Vantage helmets incorporate the MIPS technology, so please look for MIPS in the product title to make sure that the helmet you’re purchasing is the correct one. For the extra $25 bucks, we at Bob’s Sports Chalet recommend going for the added MIPS protection for your brain.
The Airevac ventilation system integrates with your Smith goggles to pull warm, moist, fog-inducing air out and away from your eyewear so you can clearly all day long. The Nanosilver performance lining wicks moisture away from your skin and has anti-microbial properties to keep your helmet smelling fresh after even the gnarliest days on the mountain.
