Smith Optics
Smith Optics has been making high quality, innovative eyewear for over 50 years. The first pair of Smith goggles were designed by Dr. Bob Smith in 1965. These initial ski goggles used sealed thermal lens and breathable vent foam to allow him to be out on the mountain getting in more powder runs while other skiers headed inside for the day. Today, Smith goggles use state of the art anti-fog technology along with specially engineered lenses that give you accurate and clear vision through all the conditions you face on the slopes.
Smith Optics Technology
Smith Chromapop technology gives you more confidence and less eye strain so you can go faster and further in challenging terrain. Tapered Lens Technology and Porex filters reduce distortions from refraction and altitude changes. Spherical Carbonic X lenses give you a wide field of view and Airflow ventilation integrates with Smith helmet Airevac system to draw warm, moist air away from your Smith goggles.
Smith Helmets
Smith helmets offer great fit, high comfort and incredible protection as you reach new speeds. Regulator vents can be open and closed at the flip of a switch and Aerocore construction in the Smith Vantage helmet allows for greater air flow without compromising the integrity of the helmet. The Smith Vantage is also offered in a MIPS version, which for a few extra bucks provides added protection for your brain. Look for MIPS technology in other Smith helmet styles to reduce the risk of brain trauma in angled impacts and hybrid shell construction for a helmet that can take a beating without weighing you down. Find the secure fit of a Smith helmet with the Lifestyle Fit System, Dial Fit System or Boa technology to give you better comfort and protection while you are testing your limits.
With its quick release lens changing system, the Smith I/O goggle was the first goggle to solve the problem of what to do when changing light and weather demanded different lenses. With over a dozen different lens options to choose from, you can select a lens for everyday use or a lens for low light or high sun to prepare you for all weather conditions.
Smith is passionate about performance and designs its helmets and goggles to help you stay out on the mountain for as long as possible.
