The North Face Summit Series system starts with a Thermolite base layer that wicks perspiration away from your body and a Polartec fleece mid-layer for the ultimate balance between breathability, mobility and warmth. A second mid-layer insulated with 800-fill down gives you the cold protection you need when the sun disappears behind the peak while a Thermoball mid-layer will ensure that you stay warm, even when encountering wet conditions. Layer 5 is a hard shell North Face jacket with a Gore Tex 3L membrane for heavy duty protection from the wind and snow, and on the coldest of days, layer 6 with 800-fill down, a helmet compatible hood, and articulated patterning is specifically designed for alpine pursuits.
