Made from our ultralight 150gsm Woolverino fabric, this multi-gaiter is light and breathable enough to provide Spring/Summer protection from insects, as well as protection from harmful UV rays. And if the temperature drops, simply double up your gaiter for an extra layer of insulation. It’s a hat, it’s a hood, and, it’s merino wool.

• Weightline: Woolverino Micro - 84% Merino Wool, 12% Nylon, 4% Spandex Woolverino's Core Spun Technology brings you a merino garment that is durable, athletically fitted, and high-performing. Warm when you need it. Cool when you don't. Our Micro weight is a 150g/m2 construction made from superfine 17.5 micron fibers. Core Spun yarn provides extra durability while still offering merino's super soft, insulative, and moisture wicking properties next to the skin. Nylon inner core offers strength, elasticity, resiliency, and durability. Merino Wool outer sheath provides insulation, moisture wicking, and UV protection.
• Layer Type: Base Layer - Think of your Base Layer as your second skin. These are your first layers on and your last layers off. These foundation layers should be thermal, moisture-wicking, and breathable. Proper layering of your garments is very important and in extreme cases may save your life. Consider your activities carefully and plan for the unexpected.
• Fit Type: Athletic Fit - Skin tight, compression style fit. Works best as a base layer. If you are looking for a regular or relaxed fit, you may be able to go to the next size up.

Even after frequent laundering they retain an ‘as new’ appearance. They won’t shrink, lose their shape, fade or color-bleed. They remain soft and comfortable for the life of the garment. TEC is a textile innovation used by Minus33 that was developed by the Woolmark Company.
• Moisture Wicking - Minus33 Merino Wool regulates the amount of moisture on your skin by absorbing any moisture or sweat on your body. Then, the absorbed moisture evaporates out of the fabric into the atmosphere. Wool is a classic natural insulator, but is just as effective in warmer weather due to its rapid moisture wicking ability.
• Anti-Microbial and Odor Resistant - With less moisture comes less odor. Minus33 Merino Wool resists against microbes and odor, so foot fungus and smelly odor will NOT be a problem while wearing our products. Merino Wool fibers naturally reject any bacteria in moisture or sweat as it is wicked away. This means you don’t have to wash wool as often. Less laundry means less water being used, benefiting our planet.
• Insulates When Wet - Wool will absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy. If you do get wet, whether it be from sweat, weather, or water bodies, wool will insulate you better than cotton or polyester materials. This is especially important if you are in a survival situation, and can help prevent or delay hypothermia depending on the conditions.
• UV Protection - Don’t worry about sunburn on a sunny day summiting a peak. Lightweight layers have a UPF rating of 25. Midweight and Expedition have a UPF rating of 50+.

Do

• Turn Inside Out
• Wash with like colors
• Machine Wash Cold on Gentle Cycle with a mild or wool-specific detergent
• Tumble dry low heat
• Store your wool in an airtight container when not in use

Do Not

• Do not use a fabric softener - our wools are super soft already. Fabric softener coats the wool in chemicals that inhibit wool's natural wicking and thermal properties!
• Do not use detergents that contain bleach
• Do NOT use Bleach of any kind - Bleach destroys wool!
