Lezyne was founded on March 1, 2007 by industry icon, Micki Kozuschek, who re-entered the cycling industry after his other entrepreneurial pursuits. During a time when poorly-engineered, plastic, catalogue-copied accessories were the standard, Lezyne's goal was to engineer and produce premium quality accessories that met the same high standards as high-end bicycle components. Today, this mentality has led Lezyne to be an award-winnning industry leader in cycling accessories.

Some of their innovations include the CNC Floor Drive with its secure ABS chuck connection, the Carbon Road Drive with lightweight Full Carbon Technology, multi-tools using Center-Privot design, LED lights with measured lumen output, and GPS computers introduced in 2015.
